Where are you from? Locust Grove, Oklahoma

Major in college? Worship Arts with an emphasis in guitar.

What activities were you involved in at JBU? I was in chapel band for three years (two of those as the leader), in choir for four years, and in Red Steps – the travelling chapel band – for two years.

Why are you working at JBU?
JBU has been a really instrumental place for me both mentally and spiritually. The curriculum and on-campus activities combined faith and learning together in a way that was undeniably important in the way that I would come to see the Lord and the world He has created. After my experiences, I had to jump back into that environment and help in any way that I could! As an Admissions Counselor I am now honored to guide students who value rigorous academics – coupled with faith – into their new college home.

What are your favorite things to do in NWA? I love art and live music. Crystal Bridges and all of the concert venues around NWA are so interested in the arts and keeping all of the different mediums alive. It's a blast being so close to so much activity!

What's one word or phrase that describes you? Life-learner.

What are some movies you enjoy? I love Napoleon Dynamite more than a person should. Other favorites include: Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings trilogy (sans the Hobbit movies), Braveheart, The Field, Jane Eyre (any version, really), etc.

Describe your family: There's only three of us. Because we're a small unit, there's a real closeness and interest in the personal lives of each other. There's a lot of love, in a quiet and disarming way.

What quick advice would you give an incoming JBU student? Press into everything. Never be present in halves--always be with those that are around you. It’s surprising what you might learn.
