What activities were you involved in at JBU?

Women’s Chorus, Orchestra, Student Ministries, Residence Hall Association (Mayfield), and STUDY ABROAD!

Why are you working at JBU?

I am passionate about quality and holistic education that not only prepares students for jobs and further education, but also cares about and nurtures relationships and holistic development. JBU is an excellent place for all of this. I met some of my dearest friends when I was a student at JBU and I was incredibly prepared and supported both academically and spiritually upon graduation to thrive in graduate school. I love that I have the opportunity to help others get connected to this university and community that I love!

What are your favorite things to do in NWA?

I love a Saturday spent at Crystal Bridges followed by a trip to a good coffee shop and Once Upon a Time Books or Two Friends Books in Bentonville. You’ll also frequently find me catching a play at Theatre Squared in Fayetteville or going to a Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SONA) concert!

What's one word that describes you?

“A bit Hobbit-y…”

What are some movies you enjoy?

Some of my favorite movies are You’ve Got Mail, Ladies in Lavender, About Time, Waking Ned Devine, Song of the Sea, and Brave!

Favorite books?

I really love to read and some books that have influenced me the most are NT Wright’s Surprised by Hope, Julian of Norwich’s Revelations of Divine Love, and G.K. Chesterton’s Orthodoxy. I also LOVE The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings and I reread both Emma by Jane Austen and Little Women by Louisa May Alcott every other year.

What quick advice would you give an incoming JBU student?

Choose one to three things to get involved in and really dive deep with the people doing whatever that is with you. Take advantage of extra opportunities like retreats and study abroad, and get plugged into a small group or service group on campus!
