2021 Summer Academies

Engineering: July 12–16

Music: July 12–16

Due to COVID-19 we will be following the protocols listed below for the 2021 Summer Academies:

  • Temperature checks and symptom screening of all students will be done daily.
  • Staff and students must wear close-fitting face coverings to diminish potential spread from individuals who might be asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic for COVID-19. Face coverings are not required while exercising, eating, bathing, swimming, or sleeping.
  • Hand washing is required before and after every meal.
  • Students will be placed in cohorts of 10 students or less. Within cohorts students can be spaced 3 ft apart, except for when eating and drinking. 6ft distancing will be maintained between cohorts.
  • During arrival/departure times we will physically distance and require masks for students and their families.

Summer Academy 2019

 Concerned about safety?

Your student will be chaperoned by our expert faculty, staff and student resident assistants at all times. Students will be housed together based on gender and under the supervision of a resident assistant.

Worried you won't have fun?

We have plenty of fun activities like bowling, game night and going out to eat planned for the evenings.

Make choosing a major easier

This is definitely not a week of lectures. Our expert faculty have put together fun projects to help you see if the subject is a good fit. At the end of each academy, parents will be invited to a showcase where students can show off their work from the week.

The Details

Students will be paired with other summer academy students in a residence hall.
