Senior Ashleigh Dean explains how JBU professors 'really know their stuff.'

Video Categories: Faculty Video, JBU General Video

Hi, my name is Ashleigh Dean, I’m a senior majoring in Journalism here at JBU. The professors here at John Brown University are doing some really amazing stuff, both inside and outside the classroom. My Old Testament professor, Dr. Vila, does the whole Indiana Jones thing at an archeological site in Jordan. Pretty cool, huh. Professor Smith was the city editor for the Virginia Pilot, and now she’s our advisor for our award-winning student newspaper, the Threefold Advocate. She’s really awesome. Redox magnetohydrodynamics? Dr. Swearingen is an expert at stuff like that. It’s like water, and fluid, and electrical currents? I think? I get lost in Professor Peer’s art. Our writer in residence, Patti Kirk, is a prolific author, and she speaks German and Mandarin. And English. The professors at JBU? They know their stuff.
