Hi, my name is Marcos Gutierrez and I am the admissions counselor for Benton and Washington county Arkansas, with the exception of Siloam Springs. I graduated from John Brown University in 2015 with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Child and Family Services. I was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, and I grew up in Panama. And I have been in the US since I was nine. While I was at JBU, I enjoyed running cross-country, being part of the Leaders Scholars Institute, and playing intermural soccer. During my time here, I developed a strong desire to learn and grow in all areas of life. This is something that is very crucial as you move into any career field, and I'm very thankful that this desire was cultivated in my time here. When I am not at work, my wife and I enjoy working with kids and youth in our church, going on adventures, and eating delicious food with our diverse church family. If you're looking at JBU, I would encourage you to apply. I would love to work with you and help discover if JBU is the right place for you.
