Hi, my name is James Cooke and I'm the admissions counselor who works with any student interested in Engineering, Construction Management, or Renewable Energy here at JBU. I'm originally from Arizona, but most recently lived in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where I received my graduate degree. Top of the mornin' to ya! I'm from a family of architects, engineers, and teachers. My dad is actually an architect, and I work for him as an assistant draftsman. My grandfather was a petroleum engineer, and my brother is currently studying civil engineering. I decided to do something a little different from the rest of the family and majored in History while I was at JBU. I loved every minute of my time at JBU, and I didn't want to leave. So, I went on to graduate school and that still wasn't enough. I love working on a college campus, and I love being a part of connecting prospective students to what we have going on at JBU. I chose JBU for several reasons. I really loved all the people that I encountered here, and I also loved the campus. It's a beautiful place to be. I definitely recommend anybody looking at college to really look at the size of the classes you'll be in and the types of people you'll be around. You've probably heard people say college is the best four years of your life and it definitely is. and the people you're around really make or break that experience. JBU has some really great professors and students around and a lot of great things to be involved in. I've met some of my closest friends and best mentors here at JBU. So, I definitely recommend it.
