I have always just loved learning.
I think that's part of the reason that I wanted to become a teacher is
I love to learn.
"Today we're going to look at types of rocks. There's really only 3 types of rocks."
Hi, my name is Chelsea Abbott and I am a student at John Brown.
I taught kindergarten for two years, so this is just my 3rd year teaching.
I'm in third grade this year and I love every minute of it.
I've just spent a year and a half really learning about how language is acquired
and different strategies I can use to help meet the needs of my kids.
So really it's just helped me become a better educator.
I only have to go class once a week and it's from 4:30 to 6:30.
It is hard, it's definitely a balancing act.
Most of it's online so I'm able to manage that whenever I have time.
I've just loved being able to be a student again.
I just feel like it's bettering me and not only me, but because I'm getting
better my students are getting better.
Every single thing that I've learned throughout the process has been applicable to
what I'm doing in the classroom everyday with my kids.
