JBU introduces the new College of Education and Human Services.
Dr. Ed Ericson: It is my pleasure to welcome you to this exciting moment. We have been building to this day for the last 20 years. Ever since we first began offering graduate programs in counseling. JBU now has a range of offerings for both traditional undergraduate and adult students.
Speaker 1: God has called us to be a blessing. It is true, hurting people hurt people. But so to, do blessed people bless people. With this new college we are only strengthening these fields to better equip these students both graduate and undergraduate alike, to be the blessing.
Speaker 2: I felt more adequately prepared to address the holistic needs of the students in my classroom, and through my friends willingness to listen to those of us who studied education share about our experiences in the classroom we formed a deeper bond over the shared desire for people to know and experience the love of Christ personally. And I look forward to hearing of more collaboration with the formation of the College of Education and Human Services.
Dr. Jeff Terrell: One of the first things, it doesn't take five minutes to get a sense about the ethos of this place. And the notion that what we're doing here is training individuals to make a difference in the world. The task that the university has assigned to us as a college is to be the hands and feet of Christ, to a world that's hurting.
Dr. Chip Pollard: Honoring God by serving others is the core of our mission. The initiation of this college is just another one of those days where God has blessed us. Thank you very much for being here today.
