Residence Life Staff

The Residence Life Staff is important in helping develop the campus community, foster holistic learning opportunities and create a positive living environment. While being a part of the Residence Life staff is challenging, it is also very rewarding. Each year,  about 45 RA's and 4 ARD's are hired to fill positions in the Mayfield, J. Alvin, Hutcheson, Walker, Northslope, and the Townhouses.

Hiring Timeline and Process:

Phase 1

  • Application, references, and résumé due-February 7, 2014
  • Group interview-Feb 13, each hour from 1 pm-5 pm and Feb 14 each hour from 8 am -1 pm (sign up for time in the Student Development office)

Phase 2

  • Individual interviews-Feb 17-28 (Applicants will be contacted to move on to second phase of interviews)
  • Letters out - March 7, 2014
  • RA class-Weds. 4pm - 6pm, starting April 2 - 30, 2014
  • Date for Fall return-August 16, 2014 by 10 am
