At the request of the Bishop's Office, we at The Soderquist Center for Leadership and Ethics at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas have been selected to host and facilitate Partners in Ministry Renewal Retreats for the United Methodist Church clergy and spouses. These three-day retreats will be hosted at Greystone Estate, our Executive Development Center on Beaver Lake in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas. Each session is designed for eight couples to gather with professional facilitators, marriage and family specialists and experienced clergy to enhance their relationship, reflect on their passion and purpose in ministry and renew their commitment to one another and to their future together.
This survey is designed to provide The Soderquist Center with a better understanding of the challenges, opportunities and needs that are unique to clergy and their spouses, and enable us to provide a more focused and effective renewal session.
You are encouraged to be open in your responses to this survey. Our hope and prayer is that your answers to this survey will help the Bishop's Office to better understand and respond appropriately to your needs. Your participation in this survey is completely confidential. Your completed survey will be sent directly to the Soderquist Center where we will compile the results into a summary report of all participating clergy and their spouses. Only the summary will be made available to the Bishop's Office, and will be used as a basis for better supporting you and your family. You may also request a copy of the summary for your personal review. Additionally, the results will be shared with participants at the retreat sessions and will be the basis for some of the discussions.
