World Vision Disaster Shelter Design Competition

World vision is looking for creative solutions to solving the housing problem for people involved in a disaster. Engineering, Construction Management and Architecture student teams were invited to design and construct a rapidly deployable transitional disaster shelter for use by aid organizations in response to natural disasters. The scenario for this year’s competition was to respond to an earthquake-induced tsunami in Indonesia.
