Meet the Resident Director of Mayfield Hall

Erin Christner

Hello! My name is Erin Christner, and I am the Resident Director of Mayfield Hall.  My husband, Jordan, and I are originally from a small town called Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. I graduated from Wheaton College with my bachelor’s degree in Sociology and my master’s degree in Christian Formation and Ministry: Student Development.  Before coming to JBU, I worked in the student activities office at Wheaton College.

Throughout college and graduate school, I discovered and developed my passion for working with and walking alongside students. I was actively involved in student outreach ministries and led a small group of young women at my church. These opportunities were invaluable to me and showed me the importance of cultivating safe places for students to grow in their faith as they experience both the challenges and joys that life brings.

I am so thankful to be working at JBU and to be a part of the community of Mayfield Hall. My hope is to see the women in Mayfield grow in their understanding of who they are in Christ, in their relationships with others, and in their academic pursuits.  I am excited to help foster an uplifting, intentional, and engaging community where deep friendships are made and lifelong learning takes place.
