“We had anticipated a stronger match with Belhaven than what actually occurred. Our guys seemed to play with a lot of energy today and we took the game away from Belhaven early in the contest. We had them off balance throughout the day. It was good to see our team not allow them back in the contest by relaxing after the 2-0 lead,” stated Coach Bob Gustavson following the game.
The win moved the Golden Eagles to 6-1-1 for the season. JBU will be in action next on Wednesday, October 1, at home against Missouri Southern State University at 3:30 pm.
