Siloam Springs, Arkansas (February 22, 2011) - John Brown University students are showing off their talent in the recently opened art exhibit, “The Student Works Show.” The exhibit will run through Friday, March 18 in the JBU Art Gallery.
The annual Student Works Show has been a tradition at JBU for more than 20 years. Over 100 pieces of work in each of six categories: Cinema, Graphic and Web Design, Photography, Illustration, Digital Art (2D, 3D and motion graphics) and Fine Art have been submitted for this year’s exhibit.
On Thursday, March 10, a reception for the exhibit will be held in the Art Gallery from 6-7 p.m. Awards for the submitted work will be given out at the annual ARTIES Award show held Thursday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Siloam Springs Community Building.
The JBU Art Gallery is located in JBU’s art building on the main campus in Siloam Springs. Normal gallery hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. All gallery exhibits are free and open to the public.
