JBU Soccer Signs Soccer Athlete

Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 14, 2004) - John Brown University soccer coach Bob Gustavson has announced the signing of Jonathan Hagen, a 6ā€™0 fullback from Temple, Texas to a letter of intent to attend and play soccer for the Golden Eagles. Hagen played high school soccer for Belton High School and club soccer for 86 C.C. United. He was a three-year letterman, a first team All-District selection as a junior and the captain of his team as a senior.

Of the signing, Gustavson had the following remarks. ā€œIā€™m happy Jonathan has decided to play soccer at JBU. He is an excellent marking back with good speed and aggressiveness. His leadership skills should add quite a lot to our solid corps of defenders. In addition to his soccer skill, Jonathan is a great student and will do well in the classroom. I am pleased to have him join our program.ā€

Hagen is the son of Dr. Michael and Barbara Hagen of Temple, Texas.
