Siloam Springs, Ark. (May 10, 2012) — Abbie Warren, a 6-0 forward from Dexter, Mo., has signed a national letter of intent to play women’s basketball at JBU next year.

Warren transfers to JBU after averaging 8.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game as a freshman at Three Rivers Community College (Mo.).  As a senior at Dexter High, Warren posted 16.4 points and 11.3 rebounds per game and was named Standard Democrat’s Girl Player of the Year.  She was also awarded all-conference, all-district, and all-region honors.

“We are very excited to have Abbie be a Golden Eagle next year,” said head coach Jeff Soderquist.  “She can play multiple positions, and I think she will fit into our system.  Besides helping us out on the court, Abbie will also be an awesome addition to JBU, a wonderful Christian woman.”
