Siloam Springs, Ark (April 26, 2002) - Seth Hildebrant of Tulsa, Oklahoma signed a letter of intent to play soccer at John Brown University. Hildebrant is a 6’1”outside midfielder from Jenks High School where his team went 10-1 for the season and took the District Champions title.
Hildebrant also played for Highlanders F.C. ‘84, a Tulsa-based club team, for three years where he averaged one goal and 2.5 assists per game. He is currently preparing for the state championship with Highlander F.C. ’84, and he also participated in the Dallas Cup in March.
“Seth is a skillful player who should give us a lot of help at the outside midfielder position,” said coach Bob Gustavson. “He is technically sound and excels at crossing the ball. He has good speed, so he should get up and down the flank without much trouble. Seth is also an excellent student and should be successful both on the field and in the classroom.”
Hildebrant, a member of the National Honor Society for the past four years, also maintained a 3.97 GPA while attending Jenks High School. He was also involved in his high school vocal music program.
Hildebrant is a member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church in Tulsa, where he is involved in youth and adult choirs, visitation, basketball and other youth activities and programs.
Hildebrant is the son of Ronald and Charlotte Hildebrant of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He plans to major in either business management or music at JBU.
John Brown University is a private university with an enrollment of over 1,600 students from 45 states and 33 countries. JBU is a member of the Arkansas Independent Colleges and Universities as well as the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
