JBU Presents “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”

Siloam Springs, Ark (November 6, 2003) — “Good grief!” The balding round-headed boy with unfortunate luck, and everyone’s favorite beagle at his side is coming soon! The John Brown University Musical Theatre Workshop will present “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” Nov. 13-16. Performances will be Thursday - Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Jones Recital Hall in the Cathedral of the Ozarks on the campus of JBU. For ticket information call 524-7382. Prices are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, and $3 for children. “The musical captures Charles Schulz’s ability to portray universal aspects of human nature through the mouths of children,” said Jeanette Hill, instructor of music at JBU, and director of the musical. The musical is a series of separate scenes based on the comic strip life of Charlie Brown. “The musical appeals to ‘Peanuts’ fans of all ages,” said Hill. “Perhaps you will smile as you see a bit of yourself on stage.” “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” is based on the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M.
