JBU WOMEN REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE PLAY

Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 15, 2003) — USAO gave the John Brown University women’s soccer team a scare today allowing a score with only 2:28 to play. Junior Kristin Snyder scored off an assist by senior Stephanie St. Clair to notch the 1-0 win for the Golden Eagles. Tightly played throughout, the game was in doubt with neither team having a decided advantage for more than 87 minutes before the score. JBU had 13 shots on goal to USAO’s 14, 11 saves while USAO had 8 and JBU was awarded 6 corner kicks to the 2 for the Drovers.

Frosh Amy Menegaz recorded all of the 11 saves to top the defensive effort of the Golden Eagles.

With the victory, JBU moves to 4-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference play and 10-3 overall.

The women will travel to NW Oklahoma State University to continue SAC action this Saturday and then will return home on Wednesday, October 22 to take on Oklahoma City University in a 1 pm conference match.
