Siloam Springs, Ark (October 6, 2003) - Alumni, friends and parents will gather at John Brown University this weekend to celebrate JBU! The university anticipates a strong attendance at this year’s Homecoming, Oct. 10-11. The dedication of the William H. Bell Science Hall kicks off the weekend long celebration. Two major reunions will follow. The Golden Eagles Athletic Reunion will be held on Friday evening. All athletes have been invited back to campus, along with coaches from across the decades. The Music Groups & Cathedral Choir will be gathering together on Saturday morning for brunch. Several group will be reuniting and performing at the Saturday evening Showcase. Class reunions will also be held for the class of 1953, 1963, 1973, 1983, 1993, and 1998 as well as decade reunions for the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. The weekend will end with a Showcase celebrating and highlighting the many “firsts” in JBU’s history. Skip Murphy, class of 1963, Roy Englebrecht, class of 1967, and John Coats, class of a 1972, will co-host the evening full of celebration and music. Events for the weekend include:
