JBU Tennis Teams Win One, Lose One
Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 27, 2003) — The men’s and women’s tennis teams traveled to Clarksville, AR on Saturday to compete against the University of the Ozarks.
The women’s team was defeated 3-6. In singles action, Raynisha Robinson defeated U of O’s Holly Rexroat 6-2 and 6-4. In doubles play, Nicole Ediger and Melanie Regier won over Rexroat and Susan Walker by a score of 9-7 and Silvy Perkins and Robinson defeated Debbie Gieseka and Jenna Kesler 8-6.
The men’s team defeated University of the Ozarks 9-0. In the singles matches, Kevin Coleman, Tim Miller, Sam van Aswegen, Bobby Rojas, Mike Dill, and Chase Willsey all won over their opponents. In doubles action, the JBU men once again dominated and pulled away with three wins.
The women’s tennis team now has a season record of 1-3. The men’s team is currently 1-0 on the year.
Saturday November 1st the Golden Eagles Tennis will take on the University of the Ozarks at home at 10:30 a.m. This match will conclude their fall season with matches resuming in February.
