SIFE Team Recognized
Siloam Springs, Ark (September 22, 2003) — — “They’re Grrreat!” is a phrase every kid knows. Tony the Tiger has been saying these two words for decades. New Kellogg's cereal boxes display the greatness of the RadioShack Students In Free Enterprise USA National Championship Teams. Included on the back of the Frosted Flakes and Corn Pops boxes is third-place winner, John Brown University. “It was just the right thing to do,” Richard Morrow, vice president of Kellogg Global Team Sales and member of the SIFE board of directors said in a press release from SIFE. “We want to honor the students’ achievements and expand the reach of SIFE.” SIFE teams from across the world work to build community outreach projects during the academic year. Teams then present their projects at the national competition each year. John Brown University’s SIFE team placed third in the nation at the 2003 competition. “Our SIFE team is a great example of JBU's outstanding students, faculty and staff, ” Dr. Lee Balzer, president of John Brown University said. “We are very proud of them!” Boxes of the cereal featuring the championship SIFE teams can be found at Wal-Mart stores nationwide. John Brown University is a private university with an enrollment of more than 1,700 students from 42 states and 45 countries.
