Oklahoma City (February 10, 2012) — The JBU women’s basketball team fell to 12-13 overall and 6-11 in the Sooner Athletic Conference after losing 52-44 to the Oklahoma Christian Lady Eagles on Thursday night.

Playing without redshirt sophomore Jessica Berlin due to a shoulder injury, the Lady Golden Eagles had a tough shooting night.  They only managed to knock down 25.4 percent (16-of-63) from the floor including 26.9 percent (7-of-26) from long distance.

Two JBU players finished in double figures, however, led by sophomore Sierra Shipley with 15 points, and freshman Lauren Rogers added 13. 

JBU also got crushed on the boards losing the rebounding battle 53-31.

For OC (8-16, 3-14), Katy O’Steen and Katy Clift both scored 16 points, while Andee Williams had four points and 15 boards.

Up next, JBU returns home to face Northwestern Okla. State on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Sink Pink Game.
