Branson, Mo. (November 12, 2011) — The JBU women’s basketball team fell to 1-2 on the year after losing 49-56 to Black Hills State (S.D.) on day two of the College of the Ozarks Coke Classic.

Redshirt sophomore Jessica Berlin led the way for JBU with nine points.  Anna Parish, Sierra Shipley, and Lauren Rogers each chipped in eight.

BHS got a game high 27 points from Kristi Ryan after she went 9-of-18 overall including 6-of-11 from downtown. 

Despite leading at halftime 30-28, things came unglued in the second half, and JBU couldn’t hit a bucket.  JBU went from hitting 44 percent in the first half to less than 23 percent in the second half.

Meanwhile, BHS, managed to stay consistent throughout the game shooting 41.7 percent for the duration. 

Up next, JBU looks ahead to their home opener on Friday, Nov. 18 during day one of the Golden Eagle Classic.  JBU takes on Ecclesia (Ark.) at 8 p.m. following a 6 p.m. tilt between Ozarks (Mo.) and Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas).
