Volleyball ends season in the first round of tournament play

The John Brown University Lady Eagle's ended their season with a loss in the first round of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament to Wayland Baptist University (Texas) with a final score of 3-0 (25-27, 18-25, 18-25).

Junior Erin Didier had 12 kills and sophomore Kailey Bain had 15 assists against Wayland, leading the Lady Eagles offensively.  Sophomore Staci Williamson had 10 kills and junior Aubrey Adams had 14 assists.

Defensively, senior libero Sarah Jordan led both teams with 25 digs.  Adams had 16 digs followed by Williamson with 14 and Didier with 11.

The Lady Eagles end their season at 18-16 overall and 6-8 in conference play.

For their play this season, Didier along with senior Allie Rankin were awarded First-Team All-Conference honors, while Jordan was named to the Second Team, and Bain and Williamson were honorable mention selections.
