Community Marketing Workshops Offered
Siloam Springs, Ark (July 2, 2003) — A series of groundbreaking marketing workshops featuring Matt Hackett will be held free of charge in Siloam Springs and Rogers the week of July 14. The workshops are organized and sponsored by local radio stations, KLRC and KUOA. The local “community better business initiative” is designed to provide education to local businesses wanting to make sense of today’s complicated and often volatile business environment. “As providers of community radio, we know how important it is for local business to prosper if our community is to continue to grow,” Sean Sawatzky, general manager of KLRC and KUOA said. “We are very pleased to be able to provide someone of such an international standard to speak in Siloam Springs and Rogers. This is a rare opportunity.” Sessions will be held on Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15 in Siloam Springs on the campus of John Brown University. On Wednesday, July 16, sessions will be held in Rogers at the Hampton Inn. Matt Hackett, international media consultant and speaker, is scheduled to deliver the series of workshops exclusively for business professionals in the NW Arkansas area. He will bring his years of media experience to the sessions, which are full stories, advice, and anecdotes from all over the globe. The sessions will highlight common mistakes businesses make in their promotional efforts. Hackett will also discuss ways to get the most out of any media campaign. He will conduct a workshop on the very best ways small and medium-sized businesses can construct professional and effective advertising plans, regardless of the media chosen. Hackett is a founding partner of Data Communications, an international media consultancy based in Hong Kong, Sydney, Australia and San Francisco, Calif. Over the last fifteen years, Hackett has produced over 500 television programs and 1,000 radio programs, including children’s television, game shows, talk shows and comedy. He has also created advertising campaigns valued at more than $15 million dollars. Hackett advised government strategists on the implementation of Digital Broadcasting, and raised over $20 million dollars in funding for media investment projects. He has also helped develop convergent media strategies for one of the world’s premier Internet/media companies, Pacific Century Cyberworks.
