Faith Thurman made nine saves for JBU against USAO on Wednesday

John Brown University’s women’s soccer team lost 1-0 against the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon at home dropping their record to 5-8-1 and 3-5 in the SAC.  

In the fourth minute of the game, USAO’s Calli Cooper got a foot on the ball after a corner kick by Fain Taylor allowing the Drovers to take the lead early.

USAO outshot JBU 12-9 with 10-2 on goal. Junior keeper Faith Thurman had nine saves for JBU keeping USAO off the board.

After a long battle, JBU was unable to score before the clock ran out, ending the game at 1-0.

The Lady Eagles play next on Wednesday, October 26 at 1 p.m. on the road against Oklahoma Baptist
