JBU Theater Workshop Presents "A Trip to Bountiful"

Siloam Springs, Ark (February 9, 2001) — Horton Foote’s highly acclaimed play “The Trip to Bountiful” will be presented by the John Brown University Theater Workshop on the University campus on four nights in February. The play, a bittersweet story of an elderly woman’s journey to her childhood home, stars Megan Andrews, Bryan Hill and Debra Cox. The supporting cast includes Alfonso Magana, Joshua Williams, Beka Wessell and Jeff LeMaster. Jessica Lear, a recent JBU graduate, assists directors Dr. Mark K. Fulk and Ms. Angela B. Fulk.

Scheduled performance dates are Saturday, February 17th at 3:00 and 7:30 pm, and Feb. 22, 23 and 24 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available through the JBU box office at 524-7382. Cost is $5 for students and children under 12. Adults pay and $7.

As part of the on-campus activities during JBU’s Parent Weekend, visiting parents may purchase tickets for the Feb. 17th matinee at student prices. Tickets to the Feb. 22 performance, traditionally student night, cost only $3 with a valid student I.D.

Ms. Geraldine Page won an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1985 for her role in the movie version of this heartwarming play. This JBU Theater Workshop production is Dr. Fulk’s fifth to direct and the fourth he has collaborated on with his wife.
