Siloam Springs, Ark. (January 22, 2011) - The JBU men ran away with a 70-56 win over Science & Arts of Okla. on Saturday evening in Bill George Arena. The win lifts the men to 15-4 overall and 7-4 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
USAO, meanwhile, drops to 7-10 overall and 3-8 in the SAC.
Sam Bartlett had 21 points and 12 boards to lead the Golden Eagles. EJ McWoods also had a strong performance with 13 points and five dimes. And Adrian Miller rounded out the double-digit effort with 10 points and nine caroms.
For USAO, Thomas Peters finished with 15 while Drew Godwin added 13.
It was an ugly first half, but JBU managed to close it out on a 9-2 run to take a nine point, 37-28, lead into the locker rooms.
In the second half, neither team really put together a solid offensive performance with both only combining to hit 16 second half field goals, but JBU managed to do just enough to hold the Drovers at bay.
