Books on Broadway Host Pollard Book Signing
Siloam Springs, Ark. (November 16, 2010) — Abilene Christian University Press and Books on Broadway will host a reception and book signing with author and John Brown University President Dr. Chip Pollard to promote the release of Pollardʼs new book, “May It Always Be True.” The reception will be held at Books on Broadway in Siloam Springs from 10-11:30 a.m. this Saturday, Nov. 20. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
The book has received several prominent endorsements, including one from evangelical leader Franklin Graham. “I had the privilege of addressing the student body at John Brown University and seeing firsthand the strong influence Chip Pollard has had in restoring biblical teaching to the world of higher education,” said Graham, president and CEO, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Samaritanʼs Purse. “This book contains messages delivered in chapel and he does not stray from his biblical text, bringing the student body back into the Word of God with the phrase, ʻLetʼs return to the Scripture.ʼ Chip has clearly focused mind, heart and soul on a basic biblical truth: Faith in God produces wisdom.”
Publisher Abilene Christian University Press describes the book as “a collection of heartening chapel addresses from President Pollard that speak to the intense spiritual experiences of university life, offering encouragement both to current students and those who graduated years ago.” Although advance copies will be available for sale at the signing, the 224-page book will be officially released in January in trade paper format for a suggested retail price of $15.99. All of the authorʼs royalties from the book will be donated to the John Brown University Scholarship Fund, which provides tuition support for students with financial need.
