Golf finishes 17th in U.C. Ferguson Classic
Oklahoma City (September 28, 2010) — The JBU men’s golf team had their work cut out for them during the two-day U.C. Ferguson Classic hosted by Oklahoma City University on Monday and Tuesday. In a field that included six ranked opponents including the NAIA’s top ranked Stars of Oklahoma City and second-ranked Oklahoma Christian, JBU finished 17th.
West Loveland was JBU’s top scorer after finishing tied for 58th with a three round total of 226 on the par 71, 6,576 yard course. The Golden Eagles shot 324-304-311-939 as a team.
The Stars won the tournament after posting a 279-274-278–831. OCU’s Clark Collier was the individual tournament winner with a 66-66-69–201.
JBU returns to competition Oct. 10-11 at the Sterling Invitational in Hutchinson, Kansas.
