OBU escapes Lady Eagles
Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 13, 2010) — Despite a near perfect game from sophomore post Chelsea Garrison, the JBU women’s basketball team fell 66-63 against the fourth ranked Lady Bison of Oklahoma Baptist in Murray Sells on Saturday night.
The Lady Eagles fall to 8-18 and 4-14 with the loss. OBU improves to 23-2 and 16-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Garrison went 8-of-8 from the field and 3-of-5 from the foul line to lead JBU with 20 points along with eight rebounds. Emily Ortiz was the only other JBU player to hit double digits with 12 points.

Ashley Taylor had a final look to tie things up, but her three-pointer clanked the side of the basket as time expired allowing the Lady Bison to hold on for the win.
JBU shot 52.4% from the floor while holding OBU to 39.3%. JBU committed 22 turnovers while forcing only 12. JBU dominated the glass outrebounding OBU 32-25.
