Tahlequah, Okla. (September 22, 2009) - The JBU women’s soccer team dropped to 2-4 on Tuesday night after losing a hard fought match to NCAA Division II Northeastern State (Okla.) 0-1.
Both teams were evenly matched early on with neither giving up an inch. But in the 23rd minute, a deflection of JBU’s junior keeper Brittany Henderson proved costly for JBU as NSU’s Rachel Sordahl took advantage and scored the game winner. It was NSU’s only shot of the first half.
On the night, NSU outshot JBU 4-2.
Up next, JBU returns home to face Texas Wesleyan on Saturday at 1 p.m.
