JBU SIFE Students to Appear on National TV
Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 28, 2009) — The John Brown University Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team have been invited to participate in the question-and-answer talk show, “America Talks,” on Tuesday, April 28 at 8:00 p.m. The theme for the night is "Students Crossing Borders to Serve" and will feature two of SIFE’s many service projects. Team members Jasmine Chavez, Suyen Espinoza, and Max Rodriguez will present the SIFE Nursing Home outreach, and Ben Coffman, Natalia Ramirez and Jose Andrade will present the ADVANCE Panama initiative. “With all of the bad news in the world today, it is encouraging to see a generation of young people who are passionate about making a positive difference in their world,” said Joe Walenciak, JBU business professor and SIFE instructor. “JBU SIFE is a great example of the power of people who set their minds and hearts on doing the right thing.” This will be the fourth time this academic year that the JBU SIFE team will be on “America Talks.” “America Talks” is a production of SafeTV® in Springdale, Ark. The show will be broadcast live via the Internet at www.safetv.org and on SkyAngel cable television. America Talks has reached more than 13 million homes throughout the world by its affiliation with the SkyAngel network.
