Siloam Springs, Ark. (November 18, 2008) - Erin Didier, a 5-11 outside hitter form Littleton, Colo. and Thunder Ridge High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball for JBU next fall.
Throughout her high school career, Didier has garnered numerous athletic and academic honors including All State First Team Academic, Class 5A All-State, First Team All-Conference, and the Thunder Ridge High School “Bear Claw” award for overall contribution and leadership to the program.
Erin has also played for Front Range Volleyball Club and now plays for Colorado Juniors.
“Erin has trained at one of the top club programs in the country and we feel honored that she has chosen JBU,” said head volleyball coach Robyn Daugherty. “She’s a quality person and is gifted academically as well.”
Didier is no stranger to JBU, however, having attended the JBU volleyball camp since 2002. Both her parents (David and Verleen) are JBU alumni, and her mother Verleen also played volleyball for JBU in the early 1980’s and coached the JBU volleyball squad from 1986-88.
“I’ve known Erin all her life and so excited to have the opportunity to coach this very gifted athlete,” added Daugherty. “She has solid fundamentals and tremendous jumping ability and will compete for playing time immediately.
