Volleyball Picks Up Road Win

Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 24, 2008) — The John Brown University women’s volleyball team continued to tear through the Sooner Athletic Conference on Thursday night after defeating St. Gregory’s (Okla.) in three games (25-16, 25-21, 25-21).

Offensively, sophomore Kirsten Lee continued her hot hitting streak leading the team with 12 kills while sophomore Amber Wilson totaled 11. Both junior Britney Kerns and sophomore Alyssa Hanson picked up 16 assists. Hanson also had four service aces.

Defensively, Shannon Proctor led the team with 11 digs while Wilson picked up four blocks.

The women currently stand at 15-8 overall and 6-2 in the SAC. Up next, the women head back on the road to take on Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday at 7 p.m.
