Homecoming Draws Hundreds and Assembles Largest JBU Choir
Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 7, 2008) — John Brown University will welcome several hundred alumni and friends to campus, Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11 for its annual Homecoming celebration. Along with sports events and class reunions there will be special celebrations for alumni who participated in the Irish studies program, the English department and JBU’s Cathedral Choir. The Cathedral Choir reunion will be a record setting event for JBU as nearly 100 choir alumni are registered to join JBU’s student Cathedral Choir for a Showcase performance Saturday night. The combined choir will be the largest choir group ever assembled at the university. The Showcase performance, the Homecoming weekend finale, will be held in the Cathedral of the Ozarks from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The weekend features a number of opportunities for alumni to enjoy time with each other, JBU and current campus offerings. Performances are Friday from 10:00 p.m. – midnight and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – noon.
