JBU Donates Technology Equipment to Community College

Siloam Springs, Ark. (July 1, 2008) — John Brown University has donated $2000 to National Park Community College to help with the purchase of state of the art instructional technology equipment for a classroom that previously had no equipment. “We are very grateful for the support that JBU has given to us and our classroom space through the gift of technology equipment,” said Dr. Gordon Watts, NPCC Executive Vice President. “We highly value our association with JBU and look forward to continuing our successful partnership.” JBU’s Advance Program has been using a classroom at NPCC for six years. The Organizational Management degree completion program recently started the 9th group of students in Hot Springs thanks to the partnership with NPCC. “We are happy that we were able to help NPCC improve their classroom technology,” said Dr. Darlene Butler, Little Rock Professional Studies Site Director. “This was a great way for us to say thank you for the years of great partnership in higher education.” The Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management offered through JBU’s Advance Program gives students the opportunity to increase the understanding of organizational systems such as strategic management, marketing, human resources, finance, accounting, and operations. Students who complete the requirement for the OM degree will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in OM and will also have all of the degree requirements to begin a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) The JBU Little Rock Center organizes the groups that take classes in Hot Springs. The Center offers undergraduate degree completion programs in organizational management and business information systems.
