Bentonville High Netter Inks with JBU
Siloam Springs, Ark. (May 19, 2008) — Tara Fredeen, a six-foot right side hitter from Bentonville, Ark., has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball for John Brown University in the fall.
During her senior year, Fredeen served as team captain and also led the team in blocks and hitting percentage. She also guided Bentonville to a class 7A-State Championship while being named to the All-Tournament team.
Head coach Robyn Gordon said that she’s pleased that Fredeen is joining the team and anticipates she’ll be able to help the team right away.
“When Tara came over a few weeks ago on a visit, she was an immediate fit with the team,” said Gordon. “She has great skills at the net and will compete for playing time immediately.”
The daughter of Doug and Charlotte Fredeen, Tara plans to major in psychology.
