Missouri Native Commits to Men’s Soccer

Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 16, 2008) — Christopher Byington, from Camdenton (Mo.) High School, has committed to play men’s soccer for JBU in the fall.

The 5-7, 140 pound Byington comes to JBU after earning Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player team awards while playing the forward and outside mid positions during his senior year. He also earned second team all-conference, and second team all-district. Head coach Bob Gustavson is excited to have Byington join the team and says that he knows Byington is a proven leader who can add a boost to the offense.

“Chris is a very quick player with good ball control,” said Gustavson. “He should add a spark of excitement and speed to our midfield.”
