Men’s Woes Continue

Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 21, 2008) — John Brown men’s basketball struggles continued on Thursday night after falling 59-50 in a grind it out style game against Oklahoma Christian at home.

Both teams got off to slow starts with OC (12-14, 9-10) taking a 22-20 lead into the break.

In the second half, OC was able to increase their lead by as many as ten at one point, but JBU (9-18, 2-17) stayed within striking distance until the final two minutes.

After several key turnovers, JBU sent OC to the line where they converted 77% (20-26) free-throw attempts to run away with the nine-point win over the Golden Eagles.

Three JBU players reached double-digits with Cody Page picking up 12, Wes Brown with 11, and Davaughn Jackson with 10 points and seven rebounds.
