Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 16, 2007) - The Lady Golden Eagles continued their run through conference play defeating Science and Arts of Okla. 4-0 on the road Tuesday afternoon. The men, however, faced a tough opponent in USAO falling 6-0. In women’s action, Alex McMichael got things rolling for JBU after scoring in the 4th minute off the cross from Sarah Kidd. Then in the 19th minute, Rachel Gerdin took the assist from Natiel Bauer and tallied her first goal of the day and JBU’s second. Just before half, Gerdin struck again. This time she took it in by herself to put JBU ahead three in the 37th minute. JBU would lead 3-0 at halftime. Alison Boster scored JBU’s final goal of the match in the 55th minute off a penalty kick. This was her fourth goal of the year. For the match, JBU had 13 shots on goal to only one from USAO. Three JBU keepers shared duties for the day. Natalie Wall, Megan Rouse, and Katie Mahoney each recorded time during the match. And Mahoney picked up a save. The women move to 11-3 overall and 7-0 in SAC play. Up next they travel to face the Oklahoma City Lady Stars at 6 p.m. on Saturday. In men’s action, John Brown faced a USAO squad also searching for their second conference win. USAO scored three goals in the first half and three more in the second to give them the 6-0 win. Up next, JBU’s men also face Oklahoma City on the road, Saturday at 4 p.m.
