Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 8, 2007) - Rogers State’s Robin Sutherland made it an honors hat trick and joined John Brown’s Alison Boster, Oklahoma Christian’s Bryan Cochrum and Southern Nazarene’s Cameron Doom as Sooner Athletic Conference Soccer Players of the Week.
Sutherland, a senior forward from Rogers, Ark., posted three goals and an assist in a 4-3 win over Southern Nazarene, including three scores in the final 20 minutes, and then added another goal in a win over Bethel College to earn her third consecutive Women’s Offensive Player of the Week award.
Boster, a senior defender from Yukon, Okla., is the first Women’s Defensive Player of the Week who is not a goalkeeper. Boster spearheaded a JBU defense that limited Oklahoma Christian to four shots on goal in a 4-0 win.
Doom, a freshman midfielder from Mustang, Okla., kicked in a pair of goals in a 3-0 SNU win over Rogers State.
Cochrum, a junior goalkeeper from Arlington, Texas, picked up two wins on the week, including a shutout over Newman University. Cochrum had 12 saves for the week.
