Golden Eagles Fall in Final Road Game
Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 23, 2007) — A dominant first half and weak second half was the story for the John Brown’s men’s basketball team on Thursday night in Oklahoma City. After taking a 47-40 lead into the locker rooms, JBU got outscored 49-29 in the second half and ended up falling 89-74.
B.J. Walker had a game high 27 points and 11 rebounds for OCU. JBU had a strong performance from Adam Workman who finished with a team high 21 after nailing 7 treys. John Brown also got a huge lift from James Manthe and Cody page who each finished with 14 points.
JBU shot an incredible 60% from three-point range in the first half, but only managed to knock down 32% of their shots in the second half. They would finish with 44% for the game. Meanwhile, OCU would knock down 53% for the game.
OCU would clean up on the glass, winning the rebounding battle 42-29.
John Brown returns home to close out the regular season against St. Gregory’s (Okla.) on Saturday at 3 p.m. We will also be saying goodbye to seniors Adam Workman and Diogenes Molina, and there will also be a short ceremony following the men’s game in honor of Coach John Sheehy’s years of service with John Brown.
