Men Lose at Home

Siloam Springs, Ark. (November 18, 2006) — John Brown faced a tough Park opponent on Saturday night and ended up falling 82-70. Not even a 60% (27-55) field goal percentage was able to help John Brown overcome Park, as they out shot JBU by shooting 63% from the floor.

With both teams shooting such high percentages, the major difference came with John Brown (5-2) committing 25 turnovers to Park’s 16. Park (6-2) was able to convert John Brown turnovers into easy baskets and control the momentum of the game. Brandon Voorhees scored 30 points for Park, who also had three other players in double figures. Adam Workman, who was one 3-pointer away from tying the JBU single game 3-point record held by Brandon Cole and Ronnie Miller, led the way for John Brown with 30 points on 8-14 3-point shooting.

John Brown did come out aggressive, however, winning the rebounding battle 23-19 with Joel Tesis leading the way with 8 boards. Tesis also pitched in 15 points.

John Brown’s next game takes place at home on Monday at 7:00 p.m. against Oklahoma Wesleyan.
