Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 31, 2006) - John Brown defeated Oklahoma City on Tuesday night at home in the Murray Sells Gymnasium. John Brown (18-18, 9-0 SAC), took the first game 30-28, but lost the momentum in the following two games falling 17-30, 25-30. The Golden Eagles were able to regain their composure, however; and opened the fourth game on fire en route to a 30-15 win. A fifth game would go down to the wire where John Brown would close it out with a 15-13 win.
Laurae Marty paced the team with 17 kills, followed by Aubrey Junker and Nicole Schmidt with 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Juliana Todescan had 51 assists, 4 blocks, and 13 digs, and Rachel Melby served up five aces.
John Brown closes out the regular season at home against Southern Nazarene (Okla.) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
