Volleyball Named Conference Champs

Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 26, 2006) — John Brown University claimed the SAC conference championship with a 3-0 defeat of St. Gregory’s (Okla.) on the road tonight. John Brown made quick work of St. Gregory’s defeating them 30-14, 30-14, 30-13.

The win moved John Brown to 8-0 in the conference with only two conference games remaining. Oklahoma City and Southern Nazarene are currently tied for second place with 5-3 conference records.

For the match, Laurae Marty and Nicole Schmidt led the attack with nine kills each. Juliana Todescan had 37 assists, and Aubrey Junker served up five aces. On the defensive end, Brittany Moon led with 17 digs and Sam Rogoff had five blocks.
