JBU RECEIVES $1,780,606 FROM ICFA SINCE 1954

Siloam Springs, Ark (September 2, 1997) - John Brown University has received $1,780,606 from the Independent College Fund of Arkansas (ICFA) since the ICFA's founding in 1954. In 1996, the ICFA contributed $68,427, and so far in 1997, JBU has benefitted from $39,674 in contributions.

The ICFA receives gifts annually from state heavyweights like Wal*Mart, Simmons Foods, Allen Canning, ABF, Alltel, Tyson, Southwestern Bell, Stephens, Inc., Baldor Electric, Beverly Enterprises, Arkla, Eastman Chemical, Union Pacific, UPS, Emerson, NUCOR, Acxiom, Gerber, and TCBY.

Colleges benefitting from the ICFA in addition to JBU include Central Baptist College and Hendrix College, both at Conway; Harding University at Searcy; Lyon College at Batesville; Ouachita Baptist University at Arkadelphia; University of the Ozarks at Clarksville; and Williams Baptist College at Walnut Ridge.
