JBU Men Lose to Oklahoma City
Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 13, 2005) — The John Brown Golden Eagles lost their third-straight Sooner Athletic Conference game Thursday, losing 2-1 to 21st-ranked Oklahoma City in Siloam Springs. Ryan Trudgian scored in the 12th minute for the Stars on an assist from Taylor Nittler, and Jose Mario Cuellar scored unassisted in the 33rd to give Oklahoma City (11-2-1) a 2-0 halftime lead. John Brown’s Daniel Fleming cut the deficit in half with a header in the 65th minute assisted by Griff Hanning, but the Golden Eagles were never able to score again. Glen Goodner made 5 saves as John Brown’s goalkeeper. The Stars out-shot the Golden Eagles 11-10.
John Brown (8-5-1, 0-3) travels to Shawnee, Okla., Wednesday to take on St. Gregory’s at 1:00.
