JBU Loses Rematch at UCA
Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 13, 2005) — The rematch between the John Brown Golden Eagles and the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears was much the same story as the original, only the sequel in Conway Tuesday night had a different ending. The Golden Eagles (8-3) lost 3-1, but each game was tight, the scores being 30-24, 23-30, 26-30, and 27-30. John Brown head coach Robyn Gordon commented that the match almost exactly resembled last Tuesday’s nip-and-tuck thriller in Siloam Springs, which the Golden Eagles won in five games. Summer Cox led John Brown in scoring with 17 kills, and Christine Wells contributed 25 digs. Samantha Rogoff made eight blocks, and Rachel Melby led the team with two aces. John Brown returns home to host Texas Wesleyan on Friday at 7:00.
